It appears (from provincial records) that he died 7 Dec 1896. However, the Ellice Memories book shows a James H. Burnett living in Ellice township till 1900.  According to the write up, in 1900, the farm was taken over by a William Anderson who had married "Isabelle Burnett". She died the same year. It also shows the land passing from Andrew Burnett to James H. Burnett.
