Grandfather had two grocery shops in Main Street, Rutherglen, then he moved to Dundee in 1936 to a small shop in Milton Street, Dundee where he sold home baking and confectionery. One of my favour ites was halfpenny lucky bags!

He moved to Kirriemuir for my grandmother's health as she suffered from TB

He was a very religious man, following the preachings of Pastor Russell, and even translating some of the scriptures for himself. His biggest mistake was wrongly predicting the end of the world in 1950.[Duncan.FTW]
