    James Bridgman, "probably of Winchester, County Hants, England", was in Hartford, CT, 3 Mar 1640, "infer that James was married" in Hartford as oldest child "probably born in that place". In 1643, settled in Springfield, and in 1654, settled in Northampton. Wife was Sarah of whose origins or marriage "we know nothing". James died in Northampton Mar 1676, by tradition, on 17 Mar, the night his grandson Deliverance was born.
