↑ There is a birth record in Lynn (Vol. 1, p. 56) for James Boutwell in 1651. Since he married in 1665 this is impossible. The record cites PR4: "Vital records in Lewis' History of Lynn". The reference is to Source:Lewis, Alonzo. The History of Lynn, apparently p. 150, and clearly has been mistranscribed, since 1651 is the death of the father James and not the birth of the son James, and is so indicated in the book.
