BICKNELL, James, s. Ebenezer Jr. and Sarah, [born] Aug. 5, 1758. [Bicknel, CR1]
↑Source:Chamberlain, George Walter. History of Weymouth, Massachusetts, Vol. 3, p. 83, has for James: "b. 5 Aug. 1758; removed to Abington", with no further information. This appears incorrect as no portion of his father's estate was set out for son James, rather everything not part of the widow's dower was divided equally between the three daughters. The lack of mention in the probate suggests he died, if not before his father, then certainly before the estate was divided in 1773. Since he would have only been 15 even at this date, it appears he died young since even a removal would not have explained the lack of mention, though he would not be expected to leave home at such an early age.
