KATHERINE VAN EYNDE Katherine "Katie" Van Eynde, 97, of Richmond and formerly of Armada, Michigan died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at The Village Rehabilitation and Care Center in Armada. She was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Keller) Kain. The family moved to Armada when she was 12 years old. On Dec. 28, 1929, she married Robert Van Eynde at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Allenton. Mrs. Van Eynde was a founding member of St. Mary Mystical Rose Catholic Church in Armada. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, on Dec. 9, 1993; her parents and five siblings, Edward and William Kain, Victoria Hill, Helen Ondrus and Mary Gonyaw. Visitation: 2:30-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Scripture service, Monday, Dec. 28, at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada, Michigan and 9:30-10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the church. Services: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at St. Mary Mystical Rose Catholic Church, Armada. Burial: West Berlin Cemetery, Berlin Township.
