The surname was probably originally: HEINRICH.

SCHIERSFELD is a village located just north of Waldgrehweiler, in the former Palatinate. Apparently Schiersfeld was in the part of the Palatinate ruled by the Kingdom of Prussia at the time of his birth.

The date of migration to Wabash County is unknown. No passenger lists have been found. Apparently the family migrated directly to Wasbash County, and did not stop over in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, as many other of the settlers from the Waldgrehweiler area had done before them.

Probably first saw his tombstone in July, 1964.
