LIBERTY - Mr. Jake Jackson Greeson, 81, of 2076 N.C. 61, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro after several months of failing health.
Born April 6, 1919, in Guilford County, he was the husband for 57 years of Mrs.. Blondie Louise Jones Greeson, who survives, and the son of Mr. Lacy Roy Greeson and Mrs.. Donnie Isley Greeson, both deceased. He was a cattle trader and hauler, a farmer and former textile worker.
Survivors other than his wife include two sons, Mr. Kenneth J. Greeson and Mr. Gary L. Greeson; a daughter, Mrs.. Peggy G. Coble; two brothers, Mr. C. Roy Greeson of Greensboro and Mr. P. Fide Greeson of Burlington; two sisters, Ms. Edith G. Rumbley and Ms. Mildred G. Wilson, both of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington by the Rev. Robert Boyd of Brick Reform United Church of Christ.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6:30 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home.
