    An historic note says that a man named Jacques JOFFRIAULT was godfather to Charles ROBICHAUX, son of Jean & Marie LANDRY, in 1646 (La Chausse'e Register, quoted in G. Massignon, LES PARLERS FRANCAIS D'ACADIE; vol. I, p.37).
