born 20 Aug 1888 in Austria Hungary
died 7 Jul 1914 in Alder, Madison, Montana
    father: Valentine Cicon

The Jacob of Montana, who claimed to have been born 20 Aug 1888, appears to be the same person as the Jacobus Cziczon who was baptized 29 Jun 1885, based on the names of his parents and the place of his birth. One explanation for the discrepancy in birth dates is that he might not have known his birth date - possibly birth dates were not considered very significant in his family. Or possibly there was a reason at the time he immigrated to obscure his relationship with his family of origin. It is not the case that the 1885 Jacob died and another was born in 1888, as his brother Jozsef was born in Mar 1888.
