Jacob C. Zent is most likely a son of Jacob3 Zent (John2, Jacob1). There is no other descendant grandson of Johann Jacob Zent (1735-1809) named Jacob that is old enough to have been this Jacob's father. Certainly the fact that Jacob was born in Ohio and migrated to Huntington County, Indiana makes it relatively certain that he migrated with many of his siblings and cousins.
