From: The Spoor Family in America-"Appears to have been engaged with others in a riot on the Livingston Manor in 1755, occasioned by the refusal of the Dutch settlers to recognize Livingston's claim to their lands, which they had purchased in good faith prior to the Livingston grant. He was one of the taxpayers in Egremont, Mass. in 1761. Probably was the Jacob Spoor of Taghkanick." It also says that his wife's was ------ Singer. Then there is another jacob with the wife that we have listed, was he married twice? I believe this is the same waife because of the last child's middle name.
