Family 17: Jacob Perley, s/o Thomas Perley, b. Rowley about 1670, d. Bradford Apr 1751 "at the age of eighty years", m. (1) 6 Dec 1696 Lydia Peabody, m. (2) 9 May 1709 Lydia Peabody cousin of his first wife, m. (3) (int.) 24 Jun 1733 Mehitable (Safford) (Hovey) Brown.
[Note: it appears Jacob only had one wife Lydia Peabody and that this source is confused. No 1709 marriage date can be found, and the author himself states no death record for the first wife has been found. The alleged 2nd wife, d/o of Joseph Peabody and Bethiah Bridges, is 9 years off from the age at death, and according to the Peabody Genealogy, p. 19, Joseph Peabody's will of 1722 named daughter "Lydia Byxbe" which would be impossible if she had married 1709 Jacob Perley until Lydia Perley's death in 1732.]
