    Jacob Perkins [#61], s/o Thomas Perkins and Elizabeth Fowler, b. 8 [sic] Feb 1732-3, m. 15 Feb 1758 Sarah Kimball. Removed to Sutton.
    [Note: a separate entry in part II, Jacob Perkins [#62], is identified as a son of William and Elizabeth Perkins who moved from Topsfield to Sutton. It appears both Jacobs are actually the same person, the son of Thomas. There is no evidence that William had a son named Jacob, and it appears that Perkins merely assumed all the Perkins in Sutton were descended from William. This error is discussed in more detail on Which Widow Elizabeth Perkins Married Cornelius Putnam.]
