From Walt Faulkner: "I'm not sure how much you have on Jacob Loy Parker's parents but I found a little in the History of Preble Co., Oh. His father, Jacob Parker, was born 10 Oct 1777 in Morristown, N.J. and was orphaned very young. He enlisted with General Anthony Wayne at Ft. Washington (Cincinnatti). He was sent to search for a deserter in the area of Twin Creek, near what is now West Alexandria, Lanier Twp, OH. After military service, he returned to the area to become THE FIRST PERMANENT SETTLER OF PREBLE COUNTY. His first wife, not named, died in Butler Co 1803 and he married Mary Loy. Lived in the area until his death in 1848 and is buried in the east edge of West Alexandria." 7/99
