Will of Jacob Latimer
- In the name of God Amen, I Jacob Latimer of Charles County and State of Maryland,
- I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Judith Lattimer, during her natural life or until marriage all the land I hold or claim right to on the west side of the road that leads from W Samuel Harrison to Zachiah Chapple, called Chapple of Care, and likewise to have liberty on the on the other tract of my land to get firewood … and after all my just debts are paid and satisfied it is my will that my said wife shall have the use of one third tract of all my personal estate during the...
- Item. I give and bequeath my well beloved daughter Cloe Douglas, one Negro girl named Linda which she now has in her possession.
- Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Randolph Brandt Latimer all the lands I hold or claim rights to that lies on the east side of the road above likewise the land I have willed to my wife after her death or marriage, likewise one negro lad named Hendlay & one Negro boy named Sam to him and his heirs forever.
- Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son William Latimer fifty pounds monies to be paid after my wife decease.
- Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Mark Latimer five shillings.
- Item. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Samuel Latimer five shillings
- Item. It is my will that the remainder of my personal estate shall be equally divided between my son Thomas Latimer and Randolph Brandt Latimer also it is my will that the land tract of my personal estate that I have willed unto my wife shall be equally divided between my said sons Thomas and Randolph Brandt after my said wife decease or marriage, to them and their Heirs forever and I hereby constitute and appoint my well beloved wife and my well beloved son Randolph Brandt Latimer whole and sole executive and executor of this my last Will & Testament.
