According to Jacobus, this Jacob Johnson is the man who graduated from Yale in 1740 and eventually became the first minister at Wilkes Barre, PA. However, the editors of Colonial Collegians assert that the Yale man was the son of one Jacob Johnson of Plainfield, born about nine years later than this man.
