Richard Jackson, Sr. left a will dated Feb 28, 1770 and proved Mar 10, 1784. It names wife Jane, sons Richard and Jacob, grandsons Richard Jackson Seaman, son of his daughter Jane. and Micah Jackson, son of said son Richard, and granddaughter Charity, daughter of his daughter Mary. In a codicil dated Feb 10, 1783 he names grandson Jacob Jackson Seaman, son of his daughter Jane.

Jacob is said to be "of Jerusalem, Long Island" which area at that time was Queens County but Jerusalem is now called Wantagh and is in current Nassau County.
