Brake; widow granted Pension age 83 in Lewis County, Virginia in 1843; resided there in 1848 age 91 when Joseph & Sophia Brake resided there; query letter in file states soldier's father was a Revolutionary War soldier also; query letter in file in 1938 from descendant Miss Martha Jean McKenna, Madison, Indiana.
