Fairfield Ledger says : Ed Wilson living in Brighton , went to the timber last week with his brother-in-law Jacob Heffelfinger. On their return they met a couple of men with a jug of whiskey. Ed drank heavily, and a short time later after Heffelfinger saw that he was stupid and unable to drive his team. He drove home with his load and returned for Ed and his team. The young man was taken to the barn, and when examined a short time later was found to be dead. The Whiskey killed him. This was in the Brighton, Iowa newspaper:
