Where does Jacob connect with the other Hauperts in Port Washington? The family I am especially interested in, is the one headed by Mary Anna (Keller) Haupert. The source says she was born in the Kingdom of Prussia, but she was probably born in the village of Oberreidenbach, in the Palatinate. [see Mary Anna Keller, who has a WeRelate page]

The Wabash County History (1976) says that Mary Anna (Keller) Haupert, was married to Jacob Haupert (1773-1827) who died in Oberreidenbach. The widow and her children migrated to the US, where they settled in Tuscarawas County. Other documents place them in the Port Washington area. Mary Anna died in Tuscarawas County. Her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Haupert (born 1819 in Oberreidenbach) was buried in Port Washington. Her other daughters, married Schug & Weisbrodt. Mary Anna's sons Peter and Fredrick Haupert, migrated on to Urbana, Indiana, where their descendants married into almost every one of the prominent Palatine families of the area, of which "White Creek" is researching. It is suspected (but not yet proved) that after Mary Anna (Keller) Haupert's husband died in Oberreidenbach, one (or more?) of his Haupert kin joined the widow and her children in Tuscarawas County. Or perhaps one of her husband's Haupert relatives, was already living in Tuscarawas County?
