Jacob Good was resident of Leitersburg District in 1765 when he purchased 163 acres of land (Good's Choice), and 100 acres of land (Luck) formerly part of The Resurvey on Well Taught; he eventually owned 350 acres which he sold to his son-in-law Joseph Long in 1787 Jacob d. 1797, leaving widow Barbara, Children John, Anna (m. Peter Longecker), Elizabeth (married Joseph Long), Barbara (married Peter Witmer), Catheran (married Peter Nwcomer), Jacob, Mary (m. Christian Hershey), Christian, Abraham Jacob was a member of the Mennonite Church. He may have been descended from Hans Guth of Lancaster, PA
