Was a farmer and lived in Bedford Twp., then moved to Colerain Twp., and lived the remainder of their days. Jacob was in the battle of the Wilderness, he was a brave and gallant soldier, and was discharged Apr 22, 1865 after the close of the war. A member of G.A.R. and elected Director of the Post in Bedford Co., in 1891.
