    Jacob E. Atwood Dead
    Had been a Resident of Kansas for Seventy-Two Years
    Jacob E. Atwood, 72, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 1521 West Sixteenth street. He came to Kansas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Atwood, in 1857, and settled on the Atwood homestead near Auburn. He had lived at the present address since 1903.

    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah Amelia Atwood, of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Patch of Topeka and Mrs. Effie Daw, of Versailles, Mo.; and one son, Sam Atwood, of Pasadena, Calif.

    Funeral services will be at 2;30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Sterling-Porterfield funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
