Info from find-a-grave site gives his birth place as Garrett, Douglas Co., Illinois. His parents are recorded as living in Sagamon Twp, Piatt Co., Illinois for both the 1920 and 1930 census but apparently were living in Garrett during the time Jack was born. According to Janeen Proctor the Jackson Reunion book has: 1928: Jackson Reunion Book : Mr. and Mrs. Vern Keist and children, Leon, Keith, Jack, and Billy, Garrett, Il., Box #77. 1930: Jackson Reunion Book :Mrs. Vernon Keist and family, Leon, Keith, Jack, and Billie.
