EAST PEORIA - Jack R. Gentz, 89 of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of East Peoria died May 31, 2011, at North Vista Hospital in Las Vegas. Born April 30, 1922, in East Peoria to Louie and Blanche (Cochran) Gentz, he married Lois Duckworth on Aug. 7, 1943. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Michael (Esther) Gentz and three daughters, Patricia Collins, Pamela Evans, Andrea (Patrick) Sullivan, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. A Navy veteran of World War II, interment of ashes will be at March Air Reserve Base at a later date.
