JACK BUCKLEY OBITUARY
ROAMING SHORES — Jack (John) J. Buckley Jr., age 62, peacefully passed away after a long illness on Saturday, August 1, 2009. He was surrounded at the time by many loving family members.Jack, who was born on Sept. 22, 1946, in Darby, Pa., was the son of John J. and Martha Buckley. He was married for 44 years to his wife Barbara (Miller). They devoted their lives to one another on August 7, 1965, in Ashtabula, Ohio.Jack retired in January 2007 from the Lincoln Electric Company in Euclid, Ohio, after 44 years of dedicated employment. He ended his career after holding positions as a Draw Bench Operator, Die Room Attendant and Assistant Foreman. Jack's exemplary work ethic and sense of accountability, loyalty and responsibility were lessons that he proudly passed on to his children.Jack was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to fish for Crappie at Roaming Shores or Walleye on Lake Erie. His ideal day was one spent out on the water with a casted line and a cold beverage. He was an expert gardener and a devoted Cleveland sports fan. Jack was also a longtime member of the Roaming Shores Fishing Club and the Rock Creek Conservation Club.Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Miller); children: Kevin, Brian, Lynn and Erin; grandchildren: Zachary, Kayla, Stanley and Gabriel; brother, Richard Buckley (Peg); and sister, Kathleen Lantz.He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Buckley Sr. and Martha (Phil).A Celebration of Jack's Life will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rock Creek, Ohio, on Wednesday, August 5th, at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.Calling Hours will be held at PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 140 E. Main St., Orwell, Ohio, TODAY, Tuesday, August 4th, from 5 to 8 p.m. At the conclusion of the calling hours, a scripture meditation will be led by Pastor Bill McMinn.For those who prefer donations in lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the name of John J.
