Ivy Wilhelmina Yearling was born on 1st November 1906 at Plymouth in Devon, daughter of Annie Yearling, formerly May, and her husband Thomas Gilbert Yearling, a riveter and plasterer. She appears in the 1911 census living with her parents and siblings in Plymouth.

She was married in 1935 to Albert Cload. They appear to have had one daughter in 1936.

Albert died in 1968 in the Gosport area of Hampshire. Ivy died in 1989, aged 82, also in Hampshire.
