Obituary: Ivy M. Bany

Funeral for Ivy M. Bany will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Methodist Church in Beaverton. Mrs. Bany died Friday in a Portland care center. She was 90.

Mrs. Bany was born in Oregon City and had lived all her life in Oregon. She worked 25 years as a licensed practical nurse in private practice and for the Washington County Health Department, retiring when she was 72. Before entering the nursing profession, she owned Ivy's Beauty Shop in Hillsboro.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Bany is a daughter, Florence Luton of Beaverton; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard.
