Ivan F. McGuire, 60, of 4600 Midway Drive NW, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday at a local hospital following a long illness.

Born Oct. 13, 1918, at Arlington, he was employed by Penick and Ford for 34 years before retiring in 1973. He was a World War II veteran, a member of First Lutheran Church, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 304 and was past president of the Penick and Ford American Federation of Grain Millers Union No. 100 AFL-CIO.

He is survived by two sons, Lon and Jay, both of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, Sandy Burgess, Wanda Campbell and Linda Winegardner, all of Cedar Rapids; six brothers, Paul, Edward, Harold, Basil, Bill and Burl, all of Cedar Rapids; four sisters, Ruth Davis and Fern Blankenship, both of Cedar Rapids, Evelyn Voelpel of Florida, and Gladys Howe of Colorado; and eight grandchildren.

Services: 10 am Friday at First Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dennis Wright. There has been a cremation committal at Turner Crematory.
