Madam;

  I advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary War pension claim,
S. 31857, it appears that Isreal Knight was
born December 8, 1760, in Scituate,Rhode Island.
    
 While a resident of that place he enlisted and served as a private with the             Rhode Island troops as follows:
 In 1777 served three months in Captain Jonathan Knight's Company in Colonel Joseph Knights regiment.
 In 1778 served one month in Captain Jonathan Knight's Company in

Colonel Stephen Kimball's Regiment; he was with Sullivan on his Rhode Island Expedition.

 From June or July, 1780, he served six months in Captain Chandlor

Burlingame's Company in Colonel Christopher Greene's Regiment.

 He was allowed pension on his application executed August 8, 18322,

at which time he was living in Scituate,Rhode Island.

There are no data on file relative to his family.
