    Isham Harrison Kelly was a successful attorney in Carrollton, Pickens, Alabama. He is descended from King Kelly of South Carolina. He was just beginning to clime the ladder of politics in Alabama when his health took a turn for the worst. He went to Cuba for a healthier climate, and died in Cuba. He was the father of Brigadier General John Herbert Kelly C.S.A. and Rollin Herbert Kelly. He died when the boys were three and four years old. Their mother died two years later.
