Notes Headstone reads: Isham b. 8-25-1850 d. 3-26-1887 Richmond Evening News, Richmond, Indiana March 28, 1887 Isham Esteb, a brother of Jacob Esteb, the well-known stockdealer, died at the residence of his wfie's father, Zachariah Stanley, last Saturday night, at 7:30, of pneumonia. He was sick about ten days. His funeral occurs Wednesday, the procession leaving the house at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Elkhorn. The Masonic lodge of Boston, will have charge of the funeral. Richmond Telegraph, Richmond, Indiana March 31, 1887 DEATH OF ISHAM S. ESTEB. Isham S. Esteb died at the residence of his father-in-law, Zachariah Stanley, in Union county, Saturday night at 7:30 o'clock, of pneumonia. He had been sick just ten days. He was the son of I.M. and Catherine Esteb, and was born in Boston township August 25, 1850. He married Miss Stanley about six years, and for several years past they have lived in Chicago, where Mr. Esteb was a member of the Board of Trade. He was at one time connected with the old Farmer's Bank of this city, being one of the organizers of it. His wife alone survives him, they never having had any chidlren. The funeral was conducted by the Masons, of which order Mr. Esteb was a prominent member, and occurred at Elkhorn Church Wednesday morning, the family and friends leaving Mr. Stanley's residence at 10:30 o'clock. |
