    QUAY 3 Mrs. Charles McPeak, 83, widow of Charles McPeak, one time assistant city manager here, died at Mercy hospital Wednesday evening [Feb. 9] after a lingering illness. She had resided at 232 N. Madiso n Avenue.

    Born in Aurilia, Canada, Dec. 15, 1871, she had made her home here for the past 75 years and was a member of St. James Church, its Altar society and Women’s club, and the League of Catholic Women.

    She is survived by: two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Weaver, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Miss Isabel McPeak, at home; four sons: John J., of Akron, Ohio, Courtney J., of Albuquerque, N. M., Dearld, of Midlan d and Joseph L., of Bay City; and nine grandchildren.

    The body is at Trahan Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o’clock at the chapel and at 10 o’clock at St. James Church. The Rev. Fr. Daniel J. Wynne will officiate, and buria l will be in St. Patrick Cem..
