  9. Note from daughter Patty: "My mother threatened us that insanity ran inmy fathers side of the family when we mis-behaved she would say thingslike: put you in there with him, Or That you were like him. You have tounderstand my mother and father's relationship.. she was an alcoholicand he was a cross country truck driver and never home, we were hissecond family and never had much of anything, we were very poor. Shewas very bitter. It wasn't until my Mom was dying that I realized shereally loved me. I found a small notebook while we were cleaning outher house. In it were daily notes about her life..it was a very hardlife in a trailer park of all places. She lived with little or no moneyat times. THEN the words popped off the page>> THE BABY IS DUE INMAY...I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO COME OUT AND PLAY. ...oh my GOD that wasme she was talking about... I immediately went to her at the nursinghome and talked and cried and cleared up all old resentments. I am sograteful I did she died a few months later. She always wanted me tomeet my sisters."
