Isaac was one of the first settlers in Darke County, along with such brothers as Thomas, Phillip, and Parnell. Other records record his death as 13 September and 3 October 1851. Isaac's tomb stone in the Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ithaca gives his death as 13 October 1851, age 77 years 6 months, and 22 days. He deeded land to William shortly before his death, 24 May 1851.
