1801, Sept. 11, Van Campen, Isaac Sr., of Walpack Twsp., Sussex Co.; will of, Son, Isaac, a horse, saddle, and bridle as his birthright; also my silver watch and various pieces of furniture, and he is to have the use of the room wherein I now live, during his life and £30 yearly, during his life. Son, Abraham, all of my real estate during the life of his three impotent children for their support, i.e., Abraham, Mary, and Lanah. Should son Abraham die before his children, then his widow shall hold the real estate for their support. Should son Isaac have heirs, then ½ of my real estate shall desend to his heirs, and the other half to heirs of son Abraham. Son, Abraham, 2 wagons, 2 plows, 2 harrows, blacksmith tools and remainder of my farming implements. Granddaughter, Catrena (daughter of said son Abraham), my household furniture and a 2 year old mare. Part of the land beginning at the Delaware River adjoining lands of George Smith to be sold to pay my debts. My negro woman, Sophie, and her 4 children and my 3 negro men Daniel, Adam and Enis, to be manumitted and set free. Executors--son, Abraham Van Campen, John Depue and Ludowick Smith. Witnesses--Benjamin Rosenkrans, Elizabeth Vangordon, Johannis Henry. Proved Dec 19, 1801. [5]
