    "Sherwood, Isaac, s. of Thomas. He m. Elizabeth Jackson, dau. of John, perhaps b. 21 July 1662. Received a grant of land from town of Eastchester, 1676, and was of Rye in 1678. In 1687 he bought land at Compo (Westport), where he was living in 1733. He conveyed to son Isaac, Jr., 21 Aug. 1727, mentioning other sons David and John, and reserving life use for himself and wife Elizabeth."
