ISAAC NEWMAN'S WILL
I Isaac Newman being of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament.
First I wish to be burried decently.
2d I wish all my just debts be paid if there is any at my death.
3rd I give and bequeath to my wife my whole Estate of every description and kind(withthe exceptions herein after mentioned) to enjoy during her life and at her death the same embracing land and all other property is to go to my son John Martin Newman except a portion of the land off of the East end of my survey which I bequeath to my son Henry G. Newman beginning at the watering ford an the Creek running a strait line by the corner of the field to my North West line; all the land lying East of that line beginning at the watering ford.
I give to my son Henry G. to have and to hold forever all the ballance is to go to my son John Martin but he is to pay out of said Estate Wm. Newman fifty, Eliza Newman one hundred dollars and as I hold the estate of Nancy & Elizabeth Smith fifty dollars with interest which amounts are due them by me as Guardian and is a debt against my estate & not out of my estate as a bequest.
I desire my wife to let John live on the farm with the family and I also wish my daughter Eliza to livewith the family as long as she sees fit to do so, my son John I wish to help support my wife during her life and my daughters and Grand Daughters while they stay with the family, it is my wish also that no sale be made of my estate unless it is thought best & I give them the power to sell what they may think proper and in any way except the land which is to be held by my wife for John Martin Newman.I have saw proper to make this Will to prevent any Law or Litegation and hope my son John Martin will live with the family, be kind and affectionate to his Mother, sister & nieces.
I have heretofore made provisions for all my children not named in this Will & make no further provisions for those not named. I wish it clearly and expressly understood that my wife have the control of the whole of my estate and should any thing occur that my son John Martin leave the place and does not stay with the family then my wife will use such money & notes & property for her support & comfort as she thinks proper.
I appoint my Nancy Neman Executrix ofthis my last will and Testament and authorize the court to require no security her except it is John Martin Newman and require no appraisiment or sale made of my estate.
Witness my hand and seal this the 24th June 1862.
