BIOGRAPHY: There were so many Hortons in Searcy Co settled around Canaan it was called Horton Bend. Tennessee Parks was the daughter of Gibson Parks. The Canaan Cemetery is part of the old Parks plantation. A negro baby was buried in the corner of the plantation garden because Bear Creek was up so high it was impossible to cross it and get to the Parks Cemetery.(Alberta Horton)
