↑ The name given in the birth record is "Asa", which is a different name from Isaac. However, Asa is not mentioned in his father's will, and the will (twice) lists Isaac before Jacob and gives marginally more to Isaac than to Jacob, suggesting that he was older. Adams and Stiles (History of Ancient Wethersfield, 2:395) assume that the Sep 1658 birth record is actually for Isaac.
