Isaac was born in 1685 - (Births in the Town of New London, Conn.) His brother Benjamin was born in 1688. Second wife listed as Mary Reynolds, married in 1732. Third wife listed as Susanna Steere, married in 1739.

Six elder children born in North Parish (Montville). The four younger children in Colchester (Births recorded in Colchester Town Records (Charles M. Taintor, SOME RECORDS OF COLCHESTER 1688-1787) Extracts from the Records of Colchester, with Some Transcripts from the Recording of Machaell Taintor of "Brainford, Conn. Fox, Gesham, son to Isaac Fox, b. Decembr 23d:1716 - Gidian, son to Isaac Fox, b. october 24th:17191716 - Moved to Colchester where name appears in early land records. He was a "way warden" at a Colchester Town Meeting in Dec. 1723 and again 11 Dec. 1727. 1726 - Purchased 21 acres from Isreal Dodge. 1729 - Deeded land to son Thomas 1732 - Left his second wife not long after the marriage in Sept. 1732 and she was forced to seek assistance from authorities [Thomas Fox of Concord, page 27]. Isaac went to Gloucester, Rhode Island, deeding his North Parish property to son John. 1734 - Issac returned to North Parish . After Mary's death he married Susanna Steere, widow of William Steere, of Rhode Island, son of William Steere and Hanna Wickenden, daughter of Rev. William Wickendn, sister of Plain Wickenden.1738 - Bought land on the Killingsley Road.
