    "Everest.—This account of the family of Isaac Everest, compiled by the late Hon. Ralph D. Smyth, may be of interest to Register readers:

    1. Isaac1 Everest was admitted a planter at Guilford, Conn., on Nov. 9, 1680. His first homelot was a place afterwards bought by Charles Caldwell. He then removed and lived near the East River, east of Nut Plains, between the branches and probably near the Foote place. He was a weaver, and married Joanna _____. He died Jan. 23, 1696-7.

    Children:
    i. Isaac,2 b. May 1, 1677; d. at Nut Plains, Guilford, Dec. 14, 1750; insane during the last years of his life; was a weaver, assessed at £71.8.0 in 1716; m. _____ _____, who d. Sept. 26, 1761.
    ii. John, was insane, and killed an Indian child at Coffinch's Point, Aug. 24, 1705, and was shot and killed the same day by the father, Cupoquassen, who was tried at Hartford and acquitted on account of the sudden great provocation.
    iii. Benjamin, m. Jan. 21, 1707-8, Hannah Jones; was a weaver, and assessed at £2 in 1716. Children : 1. Damaris,3 b. Feb. 19, 1710-11. 2. Benjamin, b. Oct. 12, 1718. 3. Elisha. b. Nov. 12, 1719. 4. Anne, b. June 15, 1720. 5. David, b. Sept. 29, 1723. 6. Daniel, b. July 29, 1725, 7. Hannah, b. Oct. 27, 17__.
