Second marriage from Darke Co., O. records. Darke Co. birth records has initials only of J.W. and parents. When living in Darke Co., he was a farmer. From Dec. 1903 to fall of 1919 lived at Independence, Kans.; from 1919 to 1926 at Cherryvale, Kans.; 1926-28 at Pitsburg,Kans., and from 1928 to death, at Lawrence, Kans. He worked in the oil fields, built rigs. Then he was an independent contractor building power houses and hooking up oil wells.
