!WILL: Will of Isaac Brown, Sr. Probated Sep 12, 1796, Loudoun co., VA Bk. E, PG 202-203 I, Isaac Brown [Sr.] County and State of Virginia, being in a weak state of body, etc., do ordain my last will and testament in manner and for following: 1. All my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and discharged by Executors herein named. 2. I give and bequeath unto my son, Isaac Brown [Jr.] on fustian coat and jacket. 3. I give to my daughter, Martha Whitacre, one woolen coverlet, two sheets and one feather bed. 4. I give to my son, John Brown, one chest of drawers, one Great coat, one bed quilt, one Body jacket, one pair of woolen breeches, two sheets, one pair of shoes and one iron pot. 5. I give to my son, Abraham Brown, one cloth coat. 6. The rest of my estate to be equally divided among my children, then living, after my decease. 7. I appoint my son, Isaac Brown, and Ed Whitacre to be sole executors of this, my last will and testament. 5th day of the 1st month, 1796. Witnesses: James Burson, Jonathan Burson, John Burson, Isaac Brown

In addition to my last will and testament I give 1. To my son, Isaac Brown, one book of Samuel Fisher's Works and one rose blanket. 2. To my son, John Brown, one book of Richardson's and Bowna's (sic) Journals. 3. To my son, Abraham Brown, one Book of Memorial of Divers Friends. 4. It is my will that my son, Isaac Brown, should have 2 years to pay off the Bonds to the legates after they become due, without interest, etc.

At a court held for Loudoun County, Sept 12, 1796

This last will and testament and Codicil of Isaac Brown deceased was proved by the by oaths of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded by the motion of Isaac Brown (Jr.) and Edward Whitacre, the executors therein named who made oath thereto according to law together with Samuel Dunkin and John Whitacre, their securities, who entered and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of one hundred and fifty pounds with condition as the law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
