On 1860 census, age 6, with parents in Goodhope, Hocking Co., Oh.(p 43, fam #601/600) Possibly he is the Isaac Brown found in Goodhope Twp., Hocking Co., Oh., on the 1880 census. He is age 29, a farmer. Wife Laura, 28, is caring for their three children - Hattie, 3; Darue (female) 3; and Frankie, 1. On the 1900 census, Ash Grove Twp., Shelby Co., Ill., we find Isaac Brown., b. Sept 1854, Ohio, (father b. W.Va., mother b. Ohio) a farmer. Wife Hannah C., 39, declares she b. Ill., father b. Ind., mother b. Ill. She further states she has been married 16 years and has born 6 children, 5 alive at this time. These 5 are in the home. Also in the home is Mary A. Griffith, 66, mother-in-law, b. Feb 1834, Ill. Her father b. Tenn and mother b. Va. (ED 107, p. 12 B, fam #163/167) On the 1920 census, Shelbyville Twp., Shelby Co., Ill., Isaac, 64, is on a general farm. Wife Hannah R., 59, is caring for the home.
