Irvin Jeremiah Schonour was born about 1877, in Pennsylvania, the child of Jeremiah L and Lydia H. He married Mary Maggie Seifrit in 1898 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. They had seven children in 17 years. He died in 1932 at the age of 55.
"I am researching The berks county Schonour lines but I seem to have an illegitimate schonour. This would be Irvin J Schonour. Here's what I have found so far. Need help trying to prove that I am on the right track. -I have copy of his marriage license dated 9/24/1898. It states that his father is Jeremiah Schonour and his mother is Lydia Hill. This also shows that Irvin was born in 1876. -Through census records I discovered that Hill is her married name and her maiden name is Long. The 1880 Census Cumru Township. Has her still living with her father Daniel Long and Daniel's grandson Irvin J Shonour (age 4). It also has Benjamin Hill as a laborer. -I did find a Jeremiah shonaur in the 1880 census as laborer on the farm of Elias Fritiz in Cumru Township. -A 1910 census has Lydia listed as wife of Benjamin Hill."
