Irene (Brockschmidt) Posey, 86, of Gibsonburg, died Thursday afternoon, Ju ne 24, 2004, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon OH. Born in Gibsonbur g OH, to Frank A and Clara A (Henline) Fehlhaber on February 21, 1918, s he graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1935 and Davis Business Colleg e, Toledo, in 1936. Irene married John Brockschmidt in Wheeling, WV, on Ju ly 5, 1938, and he passed away October 15, 1965. She then married Haro ld W Posey of Helena on October 20, 1972, in Gibsonburg and he passed aw ay on October 28, 1991. Irene was a bookkeeper for 22 years at the Gibsonburg Farmers Elevator, se cretary for 4 years at Veh & Son Furniture in Gibsonburg and retired in 19 80 as credit clerk from Toledo Edison Company after 10 years of service. S he was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, and its Zi on Women of the Church and Fremont-Gibsonburg Chapter #133 of Order of t he Eastern Star. She is survived by nieces, Sue Bahnsen and Jane Helfer; nephews, Jack Drif tmyer, Jan Driftmyer, Todd Fehlhaber, David Fehlhaber, and dear friend, Ca rol Gerwin. Her parents, husbands, sisters, Luella Driftmyer, Irma Rose He lfer, and brother, Clinton Fehlhaber, precede Irene. Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2004, from 2-7 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn -Veh Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services wi ll be on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church where her body wi ll lie in state beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Blair Miller will officiat e. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 500 S Brentwood St., Gibson burg or donor's choice.
