Irene Robinson

Died Wednesday, February 22, 1995 at her home. She was 77. She was born February 15, 1918 in Pontiac to the late Floyd Calkins and Edith (Reid) Calkins. She was a lifelong resident. She married Earnest Robinson on May 6, 1936 in Finley. He passed away in May of 1966. She was a member of the Deford Community Church. Survivors include a son, Floyd Robinson and his wife Marie of Harrison; two sisters, Betty Smock and her husband Ray of Clifford and Alma Sarles and her husband, Neil of Silverwood; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Jack LeRoy, a daughter, Katherine, a brother, Charles and two sisters, Phylann and Bernice. A memorial service was held February 24 at the Deford Community Church with Pastor Stu Roy officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. Burial was in Rich Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Marlette Hospice and Deford Community Church. Arrangements were by the Marsh Funeral Chapel of Marlette.
