    Edith Corless

    Edith M Corless, 87, of 4296 Mayville Rd, Silverwood died Friday at Marlette Community Hospital.

    Services were held Monday from the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette. The Rev Gerald Rodgers of the Delford Community Church officiated. Burial was in West Burlington Cemetery at Silverwood.

    Mrs Corless was born Apr 13, 1893, the daughter of Gilbert and Agnes Reid in Omard, MI. She and Floyd Calkins were married in Caro on Jan 25, 1909. He died in 1941.

    Surviving are 5 daughters, Mrs Neil (Alma) Sorles and Mrs Irene Robinson of Silverwood, Mrs Raymond (Betty) Smock of Clifford, Mrs Agnes Haines of Detroit and Mrs Lynn (Phylann) Poole of Pontiac; a son Charles Calkins of Standish; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mrs Filan Titus of Silverwood and Mrs Belle Parker of Concord, CA. 2 daughters and 2 sons have preceded her in death.

    Arrangements were by the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette.
